On July 4, the 2023 Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao University Alliance Annual Meeting and Presidents' Forum was held at the Chinese University of Hong Kong (CUHK).

Li JIN, Vice President of the Southern University of Science and Technology (SUSTech), attended the meeting, as the event brought together university leaders and government officials from various offices and departments within the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao region.

In the discussion of gathering talents from all over the world, Vice President Li JIN shared with the members of the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao University Alliance the experience of building SUSTech's talent team and gathering talents, and made suggestions on building a high-level talent highland in the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area (GBA).

He said that universities in the GBA should work together to build an international talent highland and make the region more prominent and stronger with the help of gathering high-level talents.

The Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao University Alliance was jointly initiated and established by Sun Yat-sen University, CUHK, and the University of Macau in 2016, aiming to bring together high-quality teaching and research resources of elite universities, deepen educational exchanges and cooperation between universities, and help develop the GBA and the Belt and Road Initiative.
